Volleyball Game Preview: Center Cougars vs. Rosemont Wolverines

The Center Cougars will challenge the Rosemont Wolverines at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Center and nine for Rosemont dating back to last season.

Last Wednesday, Center came up short against Bear River and fell 3-1.

While Center had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 24-26, 25-19.

Center's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Lee, who had 14 digs, and Julio Inguanzo Lopez, who had ten digs, five aces, and one block. Inguanzo Lopez has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last nine times he's played. Joshua Arceo also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Meanwhile, Rosemont lost 3-0 to El Dorado on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-11.

Rosemont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Center, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
