While Eastern Randolph might've come up empty on Tuesday, Cade McCallum wasn't going down without a fight. McCallum wasn't messing around, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with five or more strikeouts.

Even though McCallum couldn't lead Eastern Randolph over Trinity, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have some work to do to even out the 2-7 series between these two since June of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
