It was a good run, but Sickles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Winter Springs Bears by a score of 2-1. While the Gryphons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 25-17 in the first set.
Sickles actually scored more points across those three sets (58-57), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Winter Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Sickles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Winter Springs has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Port Charlotte on the 5th.
