Softball Recap: Bardstown Comes Up Short

Bardstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bullitt Central Cougars. Even if the Tigers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Bardstown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Bullitt Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-19.

Coming up, Bardstown will challenge John Hardin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bullitt Central, they will square off against Thomas Nelson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.31 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
