Volleyball Recap: Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey lost against Faith Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cristo Rey fell just short of Faith Christian by a score of 3-2. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Cristo Rey took Faith Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 17-15.

Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Faith Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cristo Rey is set to square off against their familiar foe Sacramento Adventist at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Faith Christian will take on rival Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
