Basketball Recap: Germantown Takes Down Ranked Tupelo

On Monday, Germantown faced Tupelo in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Germantown Mavericks walked away with a 62-55 win over the Tupelo Golden Wave. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Wave, too.

Germantown has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Tupelo, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Germantown beat Tupelo by a score of 48-31 on Tuesday.
