Softball Recap: Cedar Park Christian Takes a Loss

Cedar Park Christian entered their matchup against Monroe on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Cedar Park Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Charlton, who scored a run while going 4-for-4. Another was Adelaide Foster, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Cedar Park Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Monroe, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Cedar Park Christian will host South Whidbey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Monroe, they will head out to face off against Snohomish at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Bearcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
