Basketball Game Preview: Midland Christian Mustangs vs. San Angelo Central Bobcats

The Midland Christian Mustangs and the San Angelo Central Bobcats will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Midland Christian is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They came up short against Brownfield on Saturday, falling 63-40. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when San Angelo Central faced off against United South on Saturday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 56-47.

San Angelo Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Midland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Midland Christian was taken down by San Angelo Central 72-38 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 37-17.
