Volleyball Recap: St. Francis DeSales Comes Up Short

St. Francis DeSales was the 3-2 winner over Bishop Watterson when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Thursday. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Francis DeSales was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bishop Watterson work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Ian Shannon paced St. Francis DeSales' offense, picking up 15 kills. Shannon got some help from Dominic Trolli and his 39 assists.

St. Francis DeSales now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bishop Watterson, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis DeSales will face off against Archbishop Alter at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Watterson, they will square off against Bishop Fenwick at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
