Softball Recap: Mineral County Comes Up Short

Mineral County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Pyramid Lake Lakers, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Serpents couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mineral County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taiylor Sanchez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Mineral County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Pyramid Lake, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lakers beat Mineral County by a score of 12-2 later that day.
