Preview: Cedar Shoals Jaguars vs. North Hall Trojans
The Cedar Shoals Jaguars will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the North Hall Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cedar Shoals fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Chestatee 45-21.
Cedar Shoals had a senior duo take command as Anthony Hubbard threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes and Devin Hester gained 129 total yards and two touchdowns. Kayden Scott was in the mix as well, providing Cedar Shoals with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, North Hall can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game two weeks ago. They breezed by Chestatee at home to the tune of 27-0. Given North Hall's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Chestatee is ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cedar Shoals' victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for North Hall, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Cedar Shoals strolled past North Hall in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 28-14. Will Cedar Shoals repeat their success, or does North Hall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
