            Volleyball Recap: DeLand-Weldon Eagles vs. Judah Christian Tribe        
        
		
        
        
            DeLand-Weldon lost against Judah Christian on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Tribe by a score of  2-1.
 DeLand-Weldon's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Addison Roos, who  had seven  kills and six  digs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Makenna Woods, who  had seven  kills, seven  digs,  and two  aces.
 Judah Christian can attribute much of their success to  Kisandra Fazio, who  had 13  digs. That's the most  digs  Fazio has posted  over her last seven  contests.  Lydia Daily also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first assist of the season.
DeLand-Weldon has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-20 record  this season. As for Judah Christian, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-12.
 Judah Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  loss against Arthur-Okaw Christian on the 25th. Hopefully DeLand-Weldon paid attention to the Tribe's  contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tribe  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
