Baseball Recap: Foundation Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Foundation Academy lost to Mount Dora Christian Academy back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Lions came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Joshua Ojeda was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Justin Salvati was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Foundation Academy's record is now 18-7. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-13 record.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Foundation Academy will square off against Montverde Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will host Seven Rivers Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
