Basketball Recap: Natalie Clark and Claire Brugger Secure Win for Mccool Junction

McCool Junction won the last time they faced Osceola and things went their way on Thursday too. The McCool Junction Mustangs took down the Osceola Bulldogs 50-31.

McCool Junction was led to victory by Claire Brugger and Natalie Clark. Brugger went 8 of 9 en route to 19 points and four steals, while Clark posted 15 points along with five assists and four steals. Clark's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kayleigh Betka was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Osceola lost, don't look at Addison Theis. Despite the final result, she had 16 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bella Recker, who earned four points.

McCool Junction now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Osceola, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

McCool Junction wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-40 loss against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 27th. As for Osceola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 39-34 defeat against East Butler on the 25th.
