Recap: Piketon Redstreaks vs. Paint Valley Bearcats
The Piketon Redstreaks can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 42-31 victory over Paint Valley. For Piketon, this counts as revenge for the 38-30 defeat Paint Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Paint Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sophia Stauffer, who scored nine points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Rae Mettler, who scored ten points.
Piketon's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for Paint Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piketon will take on Westfall at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Westfall is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Paint Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Unioto at 7:30 p.m. Unioto will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
