Basketball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Creative Connections Arts Academy Dragons, falling 60-19. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-55 back in January.

Despite the loss, Delta still got an impressive performance from Kyler Christensen, who posted nine points. The dominant performance also gave Christensen a new career-high in shooting accuracy (57%).

Delta's record now sits at 5-15. As for Creative Connections Arts Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9.

Coming up, Delta will take on Leroy Greene Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta is facing Leroy Greene Academy at the right time seeing as Leroy Greene Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Creative Connections Arts Academy, they will square off against Fortune Early College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fortune Early College will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Creative Connections Arts Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
