Recap: Hardaway Hawks vs. Woodland Wolfpack
The Hardaway Hawks entered their tilt with the Woodland Wolfpack with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hardaway came out on top against Woodland by a score of 66-54 on Friday.
Hardaway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antonio Dortch, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamell Mims, who scored 19 points.
Despite the loss, Woodland still got an impressive performance from Mason Lewis, who scored 33 points. The match was Lewis' 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Treven Davis, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Woodland were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hardaway only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
Hardaway has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 9-5.
Hardaway and Cairo will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cairo has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 590 points over their last nine games. Woodland and Pace Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pace Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 69.7 points per game.
