Soccer Game Preview: South Elgin vs. St. Charles East

South Elgin is 0-4 against St. Charles East since May of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. South Elgin is headed away from home for the first time to challenge St. Charles East at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Elgin saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Hononegah. The win made it back-to-back victories for South Elgin.

They hit Hononegah with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nevaeh Gyurko, Lucy Tomasi, and Callie Miller.

Meanwhile, St. Charles East entered their tilt with DePaul College Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 2-0 shutout.

South Elgin now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Charles East, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
