Recap: Lassiter Trojans vs. Walton Raiders
It was a good run, but the Lassiter Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walton. While losing is never fun, Lassiter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Walton is ranked eighth).
Despite the loss, Lassiter still got an impressive performance from Jaden Emmanuelli, who scored 11 points. Emmanuelli continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Lassiter's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Walton, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Lassiter will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pope at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Pope's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. Walton's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Pius X Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. St. Pius X Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 315 points over their last four games.
