Baseball Recap: West Geauga Beats Madison for Their Third Straight Victory

West Geauga extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 14-11 in the process. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Madison Blue Streaks. Seven seems to be a good number for the Wolverines as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Madison's part, NathaN YarNell was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. Logan Mullins also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

West Geauga and Madison are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wolverines will face off against Struthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison, they will take on Aurora in a tournament on Friday.
