Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Holy Trinity P

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holy Trinity P had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Mechanicville Red Raiders 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Pride sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jada Bernacet made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jael Bernacet and Gianna Dobkowski did most of the damage at the plate: Jael went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Dobkowski got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Eliana Borgia also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Holy Trinity P's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Mechanicville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

As of now, neither Holy Trinity P nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
