With a playoff win on the line, Cedar Park rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Tyler Lions by a score of 50-43. The victory was nothing new for the Timberwolves as they're now sitting on five straight.
Trae Samuel Frost Hill produced another solid effort rushing for 374 yards and five scores while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. David Cooper was another key player, rushing for 114 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cedar Park was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 488 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Despite the loss, Tyler still got an impressive performance from Cadarius McMiller, who rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden J Granberry, who threw for 259 yards and a pair of TDs.
Cedar Park's record now sits at 8-3. As for Tyler, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
