Soccer Game Preview: Middletown vs. Toll Gate + How To Watch

The Middletown Islanders will challenge the Toll Gate Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Middletown's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Middletown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Moses Brown, who was ranked 24th at the time (Middletown was ranked 17th). The Islanders' defense stepped up to hand the Quakers a 1-0 shutout on Friday.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Toll Gate was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor Ponaganset could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Toll Gate hit the Chieftains with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Ficher, EMMA Mcintyre, and Emerson Fallow.

Toll Gate's draw gives them a new season record of 7-5-4. As for Middletown, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4-2.
