Baseball Game Preview: Immaculate Mustangs vs. Notre Dame Prep Lancers

The Immaculate Mustangs will take on the Notre Dame Prep Lancers at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Immaculate is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Immaculate couldn't beat Bunnell on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Mustangs fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 5-1 in the first period.

Connor Kraft made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adam Chila, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past New Canaan 11-1 on Thursday.

Notre Dame Prep's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Immaculate, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
