West Covina lost a heartbreaker the last time they played South Hills, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 48-23 victory on Friday. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5, 2024 (when they won 41-14).

Despite the loss, South Hills had strong showings from Sebastian Morinaga, who gained 101 total yards and a touchdown, and Jacob Gallardo, who picked up 89 receiving yards and one touchdown. Gallardo really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 77 yards.

West Covina now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, West Covina will welcome Rancho Bernardo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Hills, they will venture away from home to square off against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
