Basketball Recap: Bacon County Raiders vs. Pelham Hornets
The Bacon County Raiders lost against the Pelham Hornets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bacon County took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. Bacon County has not had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Santiago Bizzell, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Xavier Harris was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Bacon County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Pelham, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Bacon County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pelham will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m.
