Soccer Game Preview: East River vs. Astronaut

The East River Falcons will challenge the Astronaut War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for East River's offense. They came up short against Melbourne Central Catholic last Thursday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Hustlers are ranked 184th).

Meanwhile, Astronaut also failed to score in their most recent game. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockledge on Tuesday.

East River has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season. As for Astronaut, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
