Basketball Recap: Andru Burkes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Moss Point over Heidelberg

Moss Point played against Heidelberg on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andru Burkes, who posted six points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyon Mcinnis, who scored eight points.

Moss Point's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Heidelberg, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Moss Point has already played their next matchup, a 65-25 defeat against West Harrison on the 11th. As for Heidelberg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-51 loss against South Jones on the 11th.
