Sterling dropped their record down to 13-13 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barbers Hill Eagles. Considering the last time the Rangers couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Sterling saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Favors, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for Barbers Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games.

On Barbers Hill's side, the result came thanks to Ayden Mooring's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. Mooring has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Barbers Hill beat Sterling by a score of 9-1 on Friday.
