Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Adams

Adams hadn't done well against North Farmington recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. It was close, but the Adams Highlanders ultimately received the gift of a 49-46 win from a begrudging Highlanders squad. The victory was all the more spectacular given their disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Raiders are ranked 83rd).

Adams' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for North Farmington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adams will finish 2024 at home by hosting De La Salle Collegiate on Friday. Adams is facing De La Salle Collegiate at the right time seeing as De La Salle Collegiate is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Farmington, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarkston at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
