Basketball Preview: Emmett Huskies vs. Ridgevue Warhawks
The Emmett Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Ridgevue Warhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Emmett scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 victory over Vallivue. The win was just what Emmett needed coming off of a 70-42 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Ridgevue waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Vallivue by a score of 62-50.
Tucker Tiddens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javonte Boles, who scored 14 points.
Emmett's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Ridgevue, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Emmett, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to the Warhawks when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Emmett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
