            Baseball Preview: Willow Lions vs. Plaquemine Green Devils        
        
		
        
        
            The Willow Lions are taking a road trip to  challenge the Plaquemine Green Devils  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Willow's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Plaquemine's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
It was a proper cat-fight when Willow faced off against Belle Chasse on Wednesday. The Lions took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Meanwhile,  Plaquemine unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell  5-0 to West Feliciana. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, the Green Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Plaquemine's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Willow, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.
 Willow couldn't quite get it done against Plaquemine when the teams last played  back in April of 2024 as they fell  10-5. Can the Lions avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
