Baseball Recap: Cedarburg Comes Up Short

Cedarburg dropped their record down to 10-17 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Germantown Warhawks, falling 9-1. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

As for Germantown, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

For Germantown's part, they got a great performance from Logan Zaverl as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grady Cheever, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Ian Demichiel was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs and one double.

As of now, neither Cedarburg nor Germantown have any future games scheduled.
