Volleyball Recap: Huntington Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Huntington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fairland Dragons on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huntsmen have posted since August 28th.

Huntington took Fairland into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 28-26, 25-23, 26-28, 15-13.

Huntington can attribute much of their success to Roni Lytle, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs Lytle has posted since back in September.

Huntington was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Huntington pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Fairland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Huntington has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Wheelersburg on the 22nd. Fairland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
