The Boone Braves will face off against the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Boone turned things around against Lake Nona on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 9-5.
Boone let Ava Solberg and Emma Wolfgramm run wild. Solberg scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Wolfgramm scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Wolfgramm has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aracelys Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter Academy entered their tilt with Osceola on Wednesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Kowboys. Nine seems to be a good number for the Ducks as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Kaitlyn Tracy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Liany Rosario was excellent, going 3-for-5 with one home run and two runs. Jeyleen Rojas Ramos was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Cornerstone Charter Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
