Softball Recap: Boston English's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, Boston English's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Brockton Boxers, falling 13-7. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Boxers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Michelle Pinales made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 14 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Niecy Ishmael, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Boston English's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Brockton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Boston English does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brockton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lawrence at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering the Boxers have lost nine straight at home (dating back to last season) and the Lancers five straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
