Basketball Game Preview: Novi Christian Academy Warriors vs. Clarenceville Trojans

Having just played yesterday, the Novi Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Clarenceville Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Novi Christian Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 68 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against St. Mary Catholic Central on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Falcons/Kestrels and fell 67-27. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 191st).

Meanwhile, Clarenceville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-56 heartbreaker at the hands of Lutheran. The Trojans were up 28-10 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Novi Christian Academy dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Clarenceville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Novi Christian Academy came up short against Clarenceville in their previous matchup back in January, falling 82-72. Can Novi Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
