League recap: Elmer throws longest pass in league this season for Penns Grove

Nick Elmer and Jabrail Murray provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Deptford. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in West Jersey - Diamond this season.

Penns Grove extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Spartans, 68-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Red Devils.

Penns Grove's dynamic duo of Elmer and Murray proved tough for Deptford to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Elmer threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns and Murray had 92 yards receiving. Rich Gray helped Penns Grove's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.

Corey Clement was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 200 yards as Glassboro defeated Mike Blackiston's team. Ronnie James also contributed to the rushing game with 71 yards on the ground.

The Red Devils' Elmer and Murray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading West Jersey - Diamond in both passing and receiving yards. Elmer has thrown for 993 yards this season, while Murray, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 18 catches for 440 yards. Clement from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 1669 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Highland Regional takes on Penns Grove. The Tartans are currently in fourth, while the Red Devils are in first.

Penns Grove took down the Spartans 68-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Elmer ran for 120 yards in the win.
