Campolindo hadn't done well against Clayton Valley Charter recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Ugly Eagles 9-3. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 11-0).

Campolindo got a great performance from Colin Rutzen as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Augie Martinez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Luster, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Campolindo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they dropped their record down to 16-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Campolindo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Ugly Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
