Basketball Recap: University Christian Skates Past Salem Baptist Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University Christian). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 59-7 victory over the Salem Baptist Christian Vikings. While the Barracudas didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead University Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ellie Adams, who posted 26 points. With that strong performance, Adams is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Tompkins, who put up 17 points.

University Christian pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points per game. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

University Christian has already played their next matchup, a 59-50 victory against Hickory Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-2 defeat against Statesville Christian on the 17th.
