Volleyball Recap: Madera South Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Madera South came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Central Grizzlies by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Stallions: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 12-25, 25-12.

Madera South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allysson Daza led the charge by getting 20 digs and eight aces. Those 20 digs gave Daza a new career-high. Isabella Zaragosa was another key player, getting 16 kills, four aces, and three blocks.

They weren't the only good servers: Madera South was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive matches.

Madera South's record is now 8-21. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Madera South will square off against Sunnyside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will face off against Torres at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
