Softball Recap: Fayette Ware Comes Up Short

Fayette Ware was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 18-6 to the Germantown Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-9 on Wednesday.

Fayette Ware's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Germantown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayette Ware will face off against Haywood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tomcats have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Germantown, they will take on Overton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
