Volleyball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Valencia Jaguars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valley had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Valencia Jaguars. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Valley was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-13.
Ava Kozlowski paced Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kozlowski got some help from
Eliana Mulbery and her 27 assists. Kozlowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Valencia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.
