Volleyball Recap: First Colonial Starts Season with Loss at Home

First Colonial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Kellam Knights on Tuesday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

While First Colonial ultimately came up short, they really made Kellam work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 28-26, 25-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Colonial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Princess Anne at 4:00 p.m. on September 11. As for Kellam, they will be playing at home against Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
