Baseball Game Preview: Lakes Eagles vs. Grayslake Central Rams

Lakes is 2-8 against Grayslake Central since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will host the Rams at 4:45 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lakes 3.6, Grayslake Central 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

While Lakes' victory against Johnsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Skyhawks 2-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Skyhawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Grayslake Central's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stevenson.

Grayslake Central's loss dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 19-10.

Lakes might still be hurting after the 10-3 defeat they got from Grayslake Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
