Softball Game Preview: Beallsville Blue Devils vs. Caldwell Redskins

Beallsville hasn't had much luck against Caldwell recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Redskins at 5:00 p.m. Beallsville has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Beallsville is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 17-4 to Shadyside.

Beallsville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tayla Decker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Caldwell waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Zeps with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Beallsville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Caldwell, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Beallsville suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Caldwell when the teams last played back in March. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
