Basketball Recap: Pewitt Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pewitt can now relate to. They fell 59-51 to the Cooper Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Brahmas' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Cooper's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jequan Brown, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 18 points and six steals. Brown's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Devin Dial, who went 8-for-14 en route to 17 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Pewitt's loss dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Cooper, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Pewitt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cooper, they will face off against Muenster at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
