Volleyball Game Preview: Denison Yellow Jackets vs. Sherman Bearcats

Denison hasn't had much luck against Sherman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Denison came up short against Greenville on Friday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Sherman came up short against Anna on Friday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Coyotes: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 21-25, 25-12, 25-22.

Denison's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Sherman, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-14.

Denison might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Sherman when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Yellow Jackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
