Soccer Game Preview: Springfield Southeast vs. Limestone

The Springfield Southeast Spartans will face off against the Limestone Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Springfield Southeast will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Decatur Eisenhower on Friday. The Spartans blew past the Panthers 5-1. Anika Meinkoth was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in April, Limestone was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Metamora finished up their match with a 0-0 draw.

Springfield Southeast's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. With that draw, Limestone's record moves to 10-8-2.
