University School came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the North Greene Huskies. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

University School's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for North Greene, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Coming up, University School will challenge Greenback on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 3.4, the Cherokees 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for North Greene, they are taking a road trip to challenge Coalfield on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
